Blogging Debut: Because everything I do is cute

My dear friends and family,

I’ve decided to start a blog. I’ve spent 15 years cultivating this career of Stay-at-Home-Mom and my family and I have sacrificed some of the more “finer things” of life in order to allow this lifestyle. Insert shameless “the Office” plug here.

*smh* I can’t help it. IYKYK, and you’re probably a millenial too.

But it’s absolutely true. Necessity is the mother of invention, and I have learned how to do very much with very little. Flour can make anything from gravy to bread to cookies to play-dough! Mud can be the BEST toy. Thrifted clothes are my favorite clothes. Homemade decor looks so authentic!

After being home for so long, I’m starting to get the itch to do something for myself. I think a blog is a very logical path for me at this point. The skills I’ve cultivated make very good content, and so much of my life is enviously adorable and peaceful that it would be a shame if I didn’t share it.

I don’t have state-of-the-art equipment *yet*, but maybe if I’m wildly successful I will get there. I’ve got an iPhone with a crooked pop-socket. I’m begging for some grace.

So today is 1/6/2025 (and if we are all being honest) and the TRUE first day of the new year. Two of my kids are back in school (my eldest is homeschooled/unschooled), my husband is back at work, and I’ve got about 4 months to get this thing going smoothly before our newest addition makes his little debut.

I can do this.

A little about me: I am 36 years old, and I have 3 born children, and one currently baking. My son is 14, my eldest daughter is 12, my younger daughter is 6, and I’m due with my 4th and final baby in May. I’ve been mostly a SAHM since my first was born.

I feel like a classic millenial mom. I bake sourdough, I love plants, I have chickens, I have cats and dogs, I adore my eccentric husband and the sweet chaos my children add to my life. I’m an introverted homebody but I’m not weird about it. I can hang out, but I’m going home before 9pm. My blog will be focused on the things I love to do which mostly centers around homemaking. I’m also very crafty and consider myself artsy, but maybe not an artiste.

Please bear (bare?) with me in these early days. I’m a self-taught blogger via youtube and tiktok tutorials, and there are bound to be some hiccups. But I’m going to learn a lot and launch into a new realm. I’m excited.

Now, if you’ll excuse me. I have to go feed my chickens.
